My 2000 Pontiac Firebird

(yes, I'm living out all of those "Knight Rider" fantasies I used to have as a kid)

Question: What color is that?
Answer: Well, it could be called maroon or burgundy, but the official name is "maple red metallic".

Question: What happened to that car you used to drive?
Answer: My white 1987 Oldsmobile Cutless Sierra, which my parents owned since it was new and I drove from 1991 to 2004, "passed on" (i.e., "died") in August 2004. After making the trip from Florida to Georgia twice and a third trip back down to Florida (to witness the damage done to Arcadia by Hurricane Charley), it did not make it back up to Georgia (dieing on me in Valdosta, Georgia). I drove it for 13 years, so it certainly served me well. (The Firebird is the third car I've driven: 1978 (or '79) Plymouth Volaré [brown], 1987 Olds Cutless Sierra [white], 2000 Pontiac Firebird [maple red metallic].)
